Artist Kelly Light was devastated by the news of the oil spill in the gulf. She saw photos of wildlife suffering the consequences… and she decided to do something about it.
And that’s how Ripple got started. Ripple is a blog of artist-submitted sketch cards. Each card is available in return for a $10 donation to one of the non-profits that are working to save the lives of wildlife affected by the spill. I’m looking forward to receiving one soon, and as part of this week’s Illustration Friday, I’m also contributing one.
This is black ink on bristol paper, with whiteout to add some texture.
